PGM's Motorama exhibit in 1956 featured a film that looked into the far distant future of 1976 with predicted a jet age future with electronic digital displays and an On Star like central command that would guide us along our uncrowded path to adventures.

Harley Earl, the larger than life, first head of styling for a major automobile manufacturer gave the world the joy of excess in color, chrome and steel. Recruited by GM in the late 20s to transform its drab autos and make them stand out from the offerings of its competitors, Earl transformed the industry and the American psyche.
42nd New York Auto Show - 1957
GM planners at GM Tech Center and then they're off to the NY Auto Show. See new GM cars. The 42nd National Automobile Show at the New York Coliseum, December 8-16, 1956.
